Field Safety!

Have a personal plan for safety! Maybe a fire extinguisher and first aid kit in your car.  HCAM field has both in the First Aid steel box which has to be locked due to theft.

Be sure not to leave any RC gear behind. Lock everything up.  Keep an eye on your car if you leave it open while flying. Personal "situational awareness"  is the key to a happy day of flying.

The Hill Country Aeromodelers (HCAM) is an association of Radio Controlled model aircraft enthusiasts. The club is a non-profit organization chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics, the national umbrella organization for aeromodeling in the United States.

The club operates from and maintains Ralph deClairmont RC Flying Field in South Austin, inside Mary Moore Searight Metropolitan Park. We have a recently resurfaced asphalt runway that is approximately 550 ft. by 50 ft. There is plenty of shade in the operations building.

Visitors and spectators are always welcome and members are always available to talk with you about this fun and exciting hobby. Come by and see us!
